For the first painting of my Valentine's Project series, I wanted to dedicate this to the idea of less is more, quality over quantity, and essentialism = happiness.

A lovely friend first introduced to me the concept of a Capsule Wardrobe, the idea of editing your closet down to a few essential items that can be mixed and matched.  After embarking on this closet clean-out journey with her, I have a newfound appreciation for the items I own, and a lesser desire to buy impulsively. Instead, I invest more time in finding special and quality pieces.  My search for good clothes led me to the company Cuyana, a San Francisco based fashion house whose aim is to promote this very idea.  I love a retail company that advocates and celebrates buying fewer things, but promotes high quality, fine craftsmanship, and the preservation of culture and skills in the industry.  The Cuyana leather tote is definitely in my Capsule Wardrobe.
